I had a similar final act, but I still lived at home with my folks. The big step was not simply abstaining from meetings, but piling up the bound volumes, bibles, song books etc, outside my room... I did not need them any more. It was the unforgivable sin in their eyes, but a necessary step for me.

Dont the dramas stink now? No good costumes, no dimmed lights, lame soundtracks?
On a similar topic, my JW relative says that the "new" WT video about youth is well produced and a tearjerker. Hmmmmm. -

New Convention Apostate Protest technique.
by vomit inhow about making a stall outside the convention center called "apostate muffins" or "once a brother muffins".
make some crazy good muffins.
but each one you sell you also have to eat one.

Maybe setting up a booth with free lunch boxes (hell you could charge and it would still work) with apostate messages printed at the bottom of the boxes and on bags of chips. They could be discreet, and the hungry troops are sure to grab some on the way in in the AM before the "announcement" gets made.

Making enough money to attend the convention
by free2beme inmy uncle, was a witness for awhile with my aunt.
they had a small business of running some hot dog stands in their town in idaho.
they made pretty good money at it and because they were mobile, location was often where people would let you.

My mother calls every year to say "I remember what happened 35 years ago today. I just want you to know I remember..." Too bad she cannot just wish me a happy birthday like a free person would.

my first pledge of allegiance
by BlackSwan of Memphis intoday was parent day at jun's preschool.. and they do the pledge of allegiance.. it was funny because i was stumbling through it trying to remember it.. in all honesty, it wasn't a moment where i thought oh yay!
it was more like, eh, whatever, it's a flag.. .
it was interesting.. .

While the US pledge reads "to the flag of the United States of America," the more important part, im my mind is the following, "and to the republic for which it stands, one nation..."
The NATION is the people, and I feel, the ideals by which they live. The government is simply the horrible abomination of employees hired by the nation to handle the affairs of the people. Sadly, in this nation, the government has become bloated, self-serving and self-assuming. As originally designed, the government was designed to be as small as necessary to manage the peoples needs of security and basic welfare.
I proudly pledge my allegiance to the NATION, and I tolerate the government that we have collectively hired, despite their frequent poor performance. This nation is worthy of my allegiance as it is one of the few places that I am free to think and do as I wish. (Within reason, I know...)

"even during leisure time , such as when going out to eat after the programme , we should dress as befits ministers... and should not wear such clothing as jeans , shorts or t-shirts.
what a witness this will give to the community.".

Why must observers attend the Kingdom Halls for the Memorial?
by RULES & REGULATIONS injesus had only 12 members attend and partake the last meal and memorial.there were no observers in the room.each disciple was given bread to eat and wine to drink.there is no mention of other people in the room who couldn't eat or drink the last meal.this was only for those who would partake of this meal.. why does the wts feel that observers need to be at this yearly event?
why can't the elders who(supposedly) have any 144,000 in their congregations, have a memorial with only these members?
if jesus wanted observers he would of had some at his last meal and requested that they be present from then on..

I always tried as a kid (and succeeded) to smell the wine as it was passed. We used to get the left over Matzoth crackers afterwards, and eat them with peanut butter and jelly.

I see that CPR Card Printing is an option on that. Do elders need CPR training or is this something else? Maybe they mean blood card or publisher card?
